A few things to know about where Splitsy Club’s information comes from and what it can and can’t promise.
Not affiliated with any store
Splitsy Club is independent. It isn’t affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Costco Wholesale, Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Restaurant Depot, Smart & Final or any other store mentioned in the app. Store names, logos and product names belong to their owners and are used only to describe where items come from.
Prices and sales tax are estimates
Prices come from hosts, and the per-person amount is the total divided evenly across the group. Sales tax is estimated from the store’s ZIP code, using publicly available rate tables that we update monthly, and only for item categories that are usually taxable in that state. Actual prices and taxes can differ; the store receipt is final.
Payments
Splitsy Club doesn’t process or hold payments. People in a group pay each other directly, and Splitsy Club isn’t responsible for those payments.
Product details and pictures
When a host pastes a product link, the item name and picture come from that web page and belong to its owner. Some sites don’t share them; then the card shows an emoji or a generic image the host picked.
